How do we book?
We require a $1000 administration fee along with our booking form signed and returned. Dates can be placed on hold for couples that have visited the venue for up to two weeks, but cannot be guaranteed without the payment and signed form: BOOKING FORM
How do I work out the price?
We try to keep our prices as simple as possible.
How can I pay off my wedding?
Your wedding is paid in three simple payments as listed on the contract. The initial $1,000.00 administration fee is a non-refundable deposit that holds the date for you and confirms your booking. We then require a 50%-part payment based on your approximate spend 3 months before your wedding. Your balance payment is based on your guaranteed number of guests provided 2 weeks before and is due one week before your wedding. We ask that you do not make any other payments or instalments. Keep the funds (and interest!) yourself.

What is included in the reception packages?
What dates do you have available?
Saturdays in 2024 are limited. Please contact us for an update-to-date list. We still have plenty of Fridays, weekdays and Sundays available. You won’t have an issues currently getting the perfect date in 2025.
Do you run two weddings at the same time?
We only allow one wedding ceremony per afternoon! We do have two separate and self-contained reception rooms, so we can operate two functions simultaneously. Each room has its own kitchen, bar, staff, and bathroom facilities. If there is another function booked the same night, arrival times will be staggered.
Aside from other functions, we also operate our cafe 7 days a week, closing at 3pm Fridays and Saturdays. So if your wedding is during the day, note that members of the public will be in the vicinity.
When do I confirm my guest numbers with you?
Your guaranteed guest number is due two weeks prior to your wedding date.
Do you have a Bridal Suite to get ready in?
No, we do not have a Bridal Suite or any accomodation at the venue. You arrive for your wedding dressed and ready to go!
Is there accommodation at Walkabout Creek?
Walkabout Creek does not offer any accommodation onsite however, you will have no problems locating the perfect accommodation in the surrounding areas. Located just 1 minute away is Willow Luxury Retreat; a 4 bed 3 bath home on 4 acres of private property in the Rainforest.
Brookfeild Retreat, in Brookfield, is just 20mins away and is a beautiful option for you and the whole family.
We recommend and can provide discounts for The Brook Hotel in Mitchelton, which is 15mins away. Here you will find hotel rooms suitable for a the whole wedding party.
Mount Nebo is also located a short distance from Walkabout Creek. Here you will find a number of smaller bed and breakfasts. We also suggest looking towards the river at Toowong and Milton, which are 15mins away. If this is not enough the Brisbane CBD and Southbank are just 30mins away, offering everything from small boutique accommodation to large, globally recognised five star hotels. It is also worth looking into Air BnB’s within the area!
Do taxis and ubers come to the venue?
Yes! You and your guests won’t have any issues getting a taxi or uber to or from us.
Is there public transport to and from Walkabout Creek?
Brisbane City Council buses run hourly to The Gap park ‘n’ ride bus stop located 5 minutes’ walk away from Walkabout Creek. All bus timetables can be found on www.translink.com.au.
Is there free parking available?
Yes, we can provide 20 reserved carparks for weddings in our 100+ carpark. All parking is complimentary.
Can I have my dog at the ceremony or during photos?
As we are located inside a National Park, there is a strict no dog policy.
Can we use a drone to take photos?
Yes, drones are permitted.
What else can you see and do at Walkabout Creek?
Walkabout Creek is home to the Enoggera Reservoir, Walkabout Creek Cafe and Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre. You can bushwalk around or kayak in the reservoir, or pay a small entry fee to the discovery centre to see the native wildlife that live here.

We are (unoffocially, and according to locals) located in ”The Gap”, which is 25mins north west of the Brisbane CBD. You drive through surburban family homes to get here. Then there is nothing but water, bush, animals thriving in D’Aguliar National Park.
